How we sort the boats
We only show boats that fit your search: free date, room for everyone on board, chosen boat type and crew.
The order follows these criteria:
- Go2Boat reliability: providers with more buoys first
- Distance to the place or port you searched
- Number of free dates in the chosen month
- Year the boat was built
- Instant booking before “on request”
Recommended and sponsored
We place some boats at the top of a region. “Recommended” means: Go2Boat's own boat or a partner's boat with a special agreement. “Sponsored” means: the operator pays for this position. Both are labelled on every boat and only appear when the boat fits your search.
Go2Boat reliability (buoys)
Every provider is checked before going live (company, register, contact) and starts with three buoys. It loses one for each documented case: booking cancelled by the provider, boat not as described, offered dates not available, handover did not take place. Likewise if it declines most requests, answers very slowly or most guests would not book again. If a handover fails, at most one buoy remains. With one buoy its boats can only be booked on request; with none they are not shown. A case counts for six months or until five bookings have been completed without a new case.
Every case is recorded with evidence. Every provider can reply publicly to guest answers. Answers are not deleted for being negative; they are hidden only for insults, personal data or provably false statements. There are no bought, imported or invented reviews.
Reviews in both directions
After the time on board, guest and provider review each other. Both reviews appear at the same time, as soon as both have reviewed, at the latest after 14 days. So nobody can answer the other's review.
Criticism stays visible. A review is hidden only if it insults or attacks a person, contains provably false facts, was used as leverage (for example to get money or services), is not about this booking or contains personal data. Anyone who thinks a review breaks the rules can report it with reasons and evidence; we review every report. Guests have no buoys, but providers see whether a guest is reliable: with a badge after good bookings, after documented incidents only with the provider's confirmation.
