Terms for Go2Boat gift cards

Version: 24 October 2026

1. Issuer

1.1 Go2Boat gift cards («gift cards») are issued by Phaer AG, Baar, Switzerland, which operates the platform go2boat.com («Go2Boat», «we»).

1.2 The General Terms and Conditions for guests apply in addition. For the gift card, these terms take precedence.

2. Purchase and delivery

2.1 Gift cards are available on go2boat.com in euros or Swiss francs, for one of the amounts offered or a freely chosen amount within the limits shown. The purchase price equals the value of the gift card; there are no fees.

2.2 Payment is made online with the methods shown. The gift card is issued once the payment has been received.

2.3 We e-mail the gift card with its code and as a PDF to the buyer or, if the buyer chooses so, to the recipient's address, at once or on the chosen day. The buyer is responsible for the correct address.

3. Redemption

3.1 The gift card is a means of payment towards Go2Boat. It can be used for any booking on go2boat.com, for the boat of any provider, for the amount due at the time of payment (deposit or instalment). If the balance is not enough, the rest is paid with another payment method.

3.2 The gift card can be used in several parts. The remaining balance stays available until the card expires.

3.3 If a booking is in a different currency from the gift card, the balance is converted at the rate of the day of redemption; the amount is shown before payment.

3.4 As with every booking, the contract for the boat and services is concluded between the guest and the provider (Terms clause 2). The gift card does not change this.

3.5 The gift card cannot be used with group payment or with payment by bank transfer. Gift cards cannot be used to buy other gift cards.

4. Validity

4.1 The gift card is valid for 5 years from issue, until the end of the month concerned. The date is shown on the gift card and in the e-mail.

4.2 After expiry the gift card can no longer be redeemed. Mandatory statutory claims remain reserved.

4.3 If an amount from a cancelled booking returns to the gift card (clause 8), the gift card remains valid for at least 12 months from that credit.

5. No cash payout

5.1 The gift card is not paid out, in whole or in part, in cash or to an account, unless the law mandatorily requires it. The return of the purchase under clause 7 remains reserved.

6. Transfer and loss

6.1 The gift card is transferable. Whoever gives the code is deemed entitled to redeem it; Go2Boat may perform with discharging effect towards anyone who gives the code.

6.2 Keep the code like cash. We do not replace the gift card if the code is lost, stolen or passed on. If the e-mail did not arrive, we will send the gift card again to the address originally given, on request.

6.3 If there is a well-founded suspicion of misuse (for example a gift card bought with stolen payment details), we may block the gift card until the matter is resolved.

7. Return of the purchase

7.1 Within 14 days of purchase we refund the full purchase price on request to the original payment method, provided the gift card has not been redeemed in whole or in part and is not reserved for a payment in progress. A short message to hello@go2boat.com is enough. The code is then no longer valid.

7.2 We grant this return voluntarily. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

8. Cancellation of a booking paid with a gift card

8.1 If a booking paid in whole or in part with a gift card is cancelled, whether by the provider or by the guest, and a refund is owed, the part paid with the gift card returns to the gift card and the part paid by card or another method returns to that payment method. If only part is refunded, it is split in proportion to the payments.

8.2 If the balance was converted on redemption, it returns to the gift card at the same rate.

8.3 Whether and how much is refunded depends on the cancellation terms of the booking.

9. Data protection

9.1 We use the details of the buyer and the recipient only for the purchase, delivery and redemption of the gift card and for accounting. Otherwise the Go2Boat privacy policy applies.

10. Applicable law and language versions

10.1 Swiss law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the state of habitual residence remain reserved.

10.2 The place of jurisdiction is governed by the General Terms and Conditions for guests.

10.3 These terms exist in several languages. If the language versions differ, the German version prevails.
