Go2Boat

General Terms and Conditions (GTC) for Guests

Version: 22 October 2026

1. Scope and operator

1.1 These GTC govern the use of the go2boat.com platform (“Go2Boat”) by guests. The platform is operated by Go2Boat, a product of Phaer AG, Grabenstrasse 15A, 6340 Baar, Switzerland (“we”).

1.2 Separate partner terms apply to boat owners, fleet operators and Agents.

2. Go2Boat’s role: intermediary

2.1 Go2Boat arranges contracts for the boat and services between guests and providers (rental companies, fleet operators, owners). Go2Boat does not rent out boats. The contract for the boat and services is concluded solely between the guest and the relevant provider.

2.2 The provider is named on the boat page and in the booking summary before you book, together with a note on whether it rents out commercially (“Professional”) or privately.

2.3 Commercial providers: The contract for the boat and services is governed by the provider’s own terms, in particular on security deposit, handover, insurance, skipper, replacement boat and cancellation. These terms are shown before you complete your booking.

2.4 Private providers: The contract for the boat and services is governed by the Go2Boat Terms for Rentals by Private Individuals (with or without crew).

2.5 If a booking falls through, the provider must offer an equivalent replacement boat or refund the booking price. Go2Boat is not liable for the services or failures of providers.

3. Offers, prices, availability

3.1 Boat data, prices and availability come from the provider or from connected booking systems (e.g. MMK Booking Manager). Bookings of more than one day are tied to the provider’s fixed booking windows.

3.2 We show the total price, including all mandatory costs known at the time of booking. Costs payable on site (e.g. security deposit, fuel, harbour fees, tourist tax) are shown separately before you book.

3.3 Availability is checked with the provider immediately before payment. If the boat is no longer available, no booking is made, and any payment already charged is refunded in full.

4. Booking and conclusion of contract

4.1 By submitting a booking, the guest makes a binding offer to the provider.

4.2 The contract is concluded on the booking confirmation, which the guest receives by email.

4.3 The guest must be of legal age and must provide the required information truthfully.

5. Payment

5.1 Payment is processed by the payment service Stripe. We accept payments in the name and on behalf of the provider (collection) and pass them on in accordance with the provider’s terms.

5.2 By paying Go2Boat, the guest has discharged their payment obligation towards the provider to the corresponding extent.

6. Cancellation and changes

6.1 Cancellations and changes are governed by the provider’s terms shown before booking.

6.2 Cancellations must be notified via the guest account or by email to support@go2boat.com.

6.3 As a rule, there is no statutory right of withdrawal for contracts relating to boats for a specific period.

7. Support from Go2Boat

7.1 If a problem arises with the provider, we act on the guest’s behalf: we arrange a replacement boat or assert the refund claim against the provider. This creates no liability on the part of Go2Boat for the provider’s performance.

7.2 For boats listed directly on Go2Boat, we pass the balance on to the provider only after the boat has been handed over. If the handover does not take place, we refund the retained amount to the guest in money. For bookings made through a provider’s booking system (e.g. MMK Booking Manager), that provider’s payment plan and conditions apply.

8. Reviews

8.1 After the time on board, guest and provider review each other. Only those who booked or rented out via Go2Boat can leave a review. Both reviews are published at the same time, no later than 14 days after the booking ends.

8.2 Reviews must be true and factual. Any review can be reported via “Report review”, stating the reason and providing evidence. Our team decides; we hide reviews that are unlawful, untrue or used as a means of pressure, and tell the author why.

8.3 We record substantiated incidents (e.g. damage to the boat, no-show, abusive behaviour, pressure by means of a review) on the guest account for no more than 24 months. When a guest makes an enquiry, providers can see whether the guest is considered reliable. In the event of repeated incidents, we may allow bookings on request only or block the account.

9. Order of offers (ranking)

9.1 The order of search results depends mainly on how well an offer matches the search (location, period, number of people), availability, price, equipment, year of build and the provider’s reliability (response time, cancellation rate, reviews, substantiated cases).

9.2 Highlighted offers are marked “Recommended”. These may include boats in which we or persons associated with us have an interest of our own.

10. Liability

10.1 The provider alone is liable for performing the booking.

10.2 We are liable for arranging the booking properly. Our liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory liability provisions, in particular for personal injury, remain reserved.

11. Data protection

Our privacy policy at /privacy-policy applies.

12. Governing law and place of jurisdiction

12.1 These GTC are governed by Swiss law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

12.2 The place of jurisdiction is Baar (Canton of Zug), Switzerland.

12.3 Mandatory consumer protection provisions and places of jurisdiction of the guest’s country of residence remain reserved.

12.4 The German version is authoritative. In the event of discrepancies in another language, the German version prevails.
